Location: TR 70/2568 H is located about 42 km east-southeast of Leonora on the Laverton 1:250 000 map sheet.
Geology: Mineralization at contact between Archaean pyritic tuff-shale sequence and pillow basalt.
Work Done: TR 2568H – Eulaminna extract from progress report from geochemical prospecting research centre, London (July, 1964). Samples taken Eulaminna area soils and stream sediments.
Group-Level Summary for Group: M61/0 (ITEM 108) Eulaminna copper-zinc exploration - A Numbers in Group: 771, 772, 1526.
Results: Review of provided sample anomalous values and locations.
Conclusions & Recommendations: Applicability of cold extractable testing has not been conducted at Eulaminna; the concentrations of Cu and Zn in clay mineral fraction of both soils and stream sediments suggests a relatively high proportion of the total metal should be cold extractable. The work indicates the use of geochemical sampling is a useful tool for exploration. The area in the vicinity of the stream sediment anomaly in the south branch of stream C is of immediate interest. Further prospecting should be on a 100’ grid, together with I.P geophysical investigations.
Prospects: Eulaminna area
Assays: Cu, Zn
